Spring Nail Art Inspired By MissJenFabulous

Hello Everyone! Since I didn’t do any Easter inspired manicures, purely because I did not have any time, I thought I would do a couple of Spring manicures, which can also be used for Easter.  This one in particular was inspired by a couple of beauty bloggers, one being MissJenFabulous, as well as LindsayDoesNails.

This inspired manicure is very easy to achieve, simply by using one nail of shatter polish, two nails of polka dots, and two nails of the layered colours.  I hope you can take some inspiration from this manicure, as I did, and remember you can always use your own colours, or patterns!

I hope you have a great day!

Hard Candy Crushed Chrome Nail Colour in Crush on Pink

Hello Everyone! Today I thought I would continue with the new Hard Candy polishes, and this one is called Crush on Pink and it is from the Crushed Chromes line.  This is a beautiful true metallic pink shade, definitely leaning more towards pink versus that rose gold shade that is popular recently.

I absolutely love all of the nail polishes I have gotten from this line, and this one is no exception.  I do feel as though this polish would be best paired with another colour, as it is not completely complimentary with my skin tone, but the opacity and lasting power is absolutely perfect.  I would give this polish a rating of 5/5 and I have absolutely no complaints about this polish.  It is opaque within two coats, dries quickly, and lasts a decent amount of time on the nails.  You can find the new Hard Candy nail polishes at Walmart, and they retail for $3.98 CAD.

I hope you have a great day!

Hard Candy in Party Central Swatches and Review

Party Central

Hello Everyone! Today we have another instalment of the new Hard Candy nail polishes!  This one is called Party Central and was released in the Crystal Confetti section of the release.  I have now seen these polishes at a few Canadian Walmarts, so they should be readily available by now.

As you can see this is a very sparse glitter, but would be beautiful paired with any colour base.  I think this would be a great New Year’s look over a black base even though it has already passed.  The glitters released in this collection were absolutely stunning and this one was no exception.  The Crystal Confetti glitters were made to be sparse and paired with other colours.

Overall I must admit this was my least favourite of the ones I chose, but nonetheless I loved the polish.  You can find this polish at Walmart, and it retails for $3.98 CAD.  I would give this polish a rating of 4/5 only because the glitter is a little bit finicky to work with, but with some patience would be beautiful.

I hope you have a great day!

Hard Candy Glitterazi in So So Sequin Swatches and Review

So So Sequin

So So Sequin

Hey Everyone, today we have another section of the recently released Hard Candy nail polishes.  This one is named So So Sequin and is a beautiful pink-based glitter with other multi-coloured glitters dispersed throughout it.

This glitter polish is opaque within two coats, and is great quality, especially for the price point.   You can find these polishes at Walmart and they retail for $3.97 CAD.  This glitter would be beautiful by itself, or paired with a nice Spring pastel shade.  I was very impressed with all of the polishes from this line, this one included.  I would give this one a rating of 5/5 considering I had absolutely no problems with it and was very pleased with the quality and the price.

I hope you have a great day!

Hard Candy Sprinkles Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Sweet Tooth, Gummy Green, Jelly Bean Blue

Cotton Candy Pink, Gummy Green, Sweet Tooth

Hello Everyone! Recently Hard Candy released 45 new nail colours to their permanent collection, including many dupes to higher end nail polishes.  This mini collection was named Candy Sprinkles, and is full of polishes, with a milky pastel base and packed with white, black and multi-coloured glitters.  This trend with the milky glitters has been huge, and both Illamasqua and Deborah Lippmann have recently released similar collections.

Cotton Candy Pink

Cotton Candy Pink is a beautiful milk pink base with white and blue glitters dispersed throughout it.  It is an absolutely stunning polish, and also very trendy.  This polish is opaque within two coats and for the price point is incredible qualit

Gummy Green

Gummy Green totally reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream from Baskin Robbins.  This is two coats of the polish, but if you chose to layer a mint green polish underneath it would be a much more opaque effect.

Jelly Bean Blue

Sweet Tooth

This one was the least opaque of the three, but with a baby blue base it would be perfect.  These are really fun polishes in general for the Spring and Summer time.

Overall I was really impressed with these polishes! You can find them at Wal-Mart and they retail for $3.97 CAD.  For the price I think they are a much better alternative to the higher end brands considering this sprinkle effect is very trendy.  I would rate these polishes a 5/5 the quality completely surprised me for such an inexpensive brand, and I would definitely recommend them.

I hope you have a great day!

NOTD: Essie Borrowed and Blue

Hello Everyone! Today I went to a baby shower, so I decided to do a very appropriate NOTD post for a baby shower.  Essie’s Borrowed and Blue is a beautiful milky, baby blue shade perfect for the Spring time.  This polish would not only be perfect for a baby shower, but also for Easter and really anytime in the Spring.  This polish was released with the Wedding Collection in the Spring of 2011.  It is opaque in two coats, and has great lasting power.  I would give this polish a rating of 5/5 considering it is absolutely stunning on the nails, and tends to make your skin look more tan.

I hope you have a great day

The New Black Runway Nail Polish Set

Hello Everyone! Today we have a total deal that I found at Winners, in Canada.  The New Black is a brand that is traditionally sold at Sephora, and this particular set I had my eye on, but could not justify spending the money.  A few months later I found this set at Winners for only $11 CAD, when it originally cost about $35 CAD.

This set comes with eight different shades ranging from a beautiful, rich red to an absolutely perfect nude shade. They are absolutely stunning, and all of them are opaque in one to two coats.

As you can see all of the shades are beautiful, and there is something for everyone in this set.  This set comes with a diverse set of shades and all of them have a consistent quality.  Overall I would give this product a rating of 4/5, and to be honest I do not think it is worth $35 CAD, but I am happy with it considering I only paid $11 CAD.  I would definitely recommend you go check out your local discount store to see if they have this in stock!

I hope you have a great day!

NOTD: China Glaze Shocking Pink

Hello Everyone! For today’s NOTD post we have China Glaze’s Shocking Pink.  This shade is a cult favourite and for good reason.  It is a stunning neon blue-based pink shade.  On my accent finger I have Julep’s Sienna, and Julep’s Vivienne. This neon shade, along with China Glaze’s Flip Flop Fantasy are my absolute favourite!  I tend to reach for this shade mostly for my toes, but occasionally sport them on my fingers for a fun pop of colour.  I would give this polish a rating of 5/5 because I love it!  The only thing that may stray you from this polish is that is does dry to a matte finish, but that is nothing that a good shiny topcoat cannot fix.

I hope you have a great day!
